Before You Get Started
⚠️ Installation of the Ridge Cap Roof Mount may require drilling into your roof, sealing roof penetrations and working at heights.
If you are not comfortable performing this type of installation, we strongly recommend engaging a qualified installer.

This mount is designed for suitable fixed roof installations. It is not intended for ground, freestanding or portable use.
All roof penetrations must be sealed correctly to help prevent water ingress.
Important Compatibility Notes
There are different Ridge Cap Mount versions depending on your Starlink model.
Starlink Standard Gen 3 / V4 Ridge Cap Mount
This version suits the Starlink Standard Gen 3 / V4 flat rectangular terminal.
This model may also be called:

Starlink V4
It does not suit Starlink Mini, Gen 2 actuated Standard, High Performance or Flat High Performance models unless specifically stated.
Starlink Gen 2 Ridge Cap Mount
This version suits the Starlink Gen 2 actuated rectangular terminal.
It does not suit Starlink Standard Gen 3 / V4, Starlink Mini, High Performance or Flat High Performance models unless used with a separately compatible adaptor or mount.
Please check your Starlink model before installation.

The supplied fastener pack is generic. Always check that the fasteners are suitable for your specific roof profile, ridge cap and fixing structure before installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Ridge Cap Mount do I need?
Choose the Gen 3 / V4 Ridge Cap Mount if you have the flat rectangular Starlink Standard terminal.
Choose the Gen 2 Ridge Cap Mount if you have the older actuated rectangular Starlink dish with a moving mast.
If you are unsure, check your Starlink model before ordering or contact Spacetek support.
Can I use the Gen 3 / V4 Ridge Cap Mount for Starlink Mini?
No. The Gen 3 / V4 Ridge Cap Mount is not designed for Starlink Mini.
Starlink Mini requires a compatible Mini mounting solution.
Can I use the Gen 2 version for Starlink Gen 3?
No. The Gen 2 version is made for the Starlink Gen 2 actuated rectangular dish.
Starlink Gen 3 / V4 requires the correct Gen 3 / V4 Ridge Cap Mount or a compatible adaptor setup.
Is this suitable for all roof types?
No. This mount is designed for suitable metal or tin roof ridge cap installations.
Before installing, check the ridge cap profile, roof pitch, fixing structure and whether the roof can safely support the mount.
What if my ridge cap is sloped or not perfectly level?
The Ridge Cap Mount includes slotted adjustment points to help the installer align the plates and adjust the pole angle during installation.
This is useful where the ridge cap or roof pitch is not perfectly level.
Does this mount require drilling into the roof?
Yes. This is a fixed roof mount and will generally require drilling into a suitable ridge cap or roof structure.
All penetrations must be sealed correctly to help prevent water ingress.
Can I install this myself?
Some customers may choose to install it themselves, but roof work can involve drilling, sealing and working at heights.
If you are unsure, we recommend using a qualified installer.
Is this a good option for very hot areas?
This mount positions Starlink close to the roofline. In very hot regions, roof heat may affect the Starlink terminal.
For hotter areas, a taller roof mount may be more suitable to increase clearance and airflow around the terminal.
Can this be used as a portable mount?
No. This is a fixed roof mount. It is not intended for portable, ground or freestanding use.
