Welcome to your new Spacetek Inline Wireless Relay for Starlink Mini and Gen 3.
The Inline Wireless Relay provides remote power control for compatible Starlink DC power setups. It allows you to switch power on or off using the included wireless remotes, without cutting, soldering, or custom wiring.
This guide covers what to check before use, what's included, where to find the setup guide, and what to check if the relay does not respond as expected.
Before You Get Started
⚠️ The Inline Wireless Relay is designed for compatible DC power setups only.
Before use, please check:
- Your power source is within 11-57V DC
- Your Starlink setup is under 150W
- You are using a compatible Starlink Mini or Starlink Gen 3 setup
- Both remotes light up when pressed
- The relay is kept away from direct water exposure
- All cable ends are clean, dry and properly connected
- The relay is connected in the correct direction
The relay must be connected the correct way around. The power source connects to the INPUT side, and Starlink connects to the OUTPUT side.
Do not reverse the relay. Incorrect orientation may prevent operation or damage your setup.
If you are using the relay in a caravan, canopy, 4WD, boat or off-grid system, your power setup must provide stable voltage under load. If the voltage drops too low, the relay or Starlink may not power up correctly.
The relay is spray-resistant, not waterproof. Keep it protected from direct rain, pooling water and exposed road spray.
If you are unsure about your power setup, we recommend checking with a qualified installer or auto electrician before use.
What's Included
Kit inclusions may vary slightly depending on the version supplied.
The Inline Wireless Relay kit includes:
- 1 × inline relay module
- 2 × wireless remotes
- DC 2.1mm adapters / gender changers for matching your cable setup

Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I use an Inline Wireless Relay with Starlink?
The relay is useful when your Starlink power connection is hard to reach, such as inside a canopy, caravan, camper, boat, roof rack setup, battery box or off-grid system.
Instead of unplugging cables manually, you can switch power on or off using the included remote.
Can I use this to turn Starlink off when I am not using it?
Yes. The relay switches power to your Starlink setup on and off.
This can be useful if you want to stop Starlink drawing power when parked, overnight, or when the system is not needed.
Will this control my Starlink WiFi or app settings?
No. The relay only controls power.
It does not change your Starlink plan, Starlink app settings, WiFi name, password, router settings or network configuration.
Do I need to pair the remotes before using them?
Usually, no.
The remotes are normally pre-paired. Only use pairing mode if the remote lights up but the relay does not switch.
If pairing is needed, follow the pairing steps in the quick start guide.
My remote lights up, but the relay does not switch. What should I check?
First, confirm the relay has power and the cables are connected the correct way around.
If the remote still lights up but does not switch the relay, the remote may need to be paired again. Follow the pairing section in the quick start guide.
Starlink does not power up after connecting the relay. What is the most common cause?
The most common things to check are:
- The power source is connected to INPUT
- The Starlink side is connected to OUTPUT
- The power source is within 11-57V DC
- The Starlink setup is under 150W
- The power system can provide stable voltage under load
If your DC system drops too low under load, the relay or Starlink may not power up correctly.
Can I install the relay outside?
The relay is spray-resistant, not waterproof.
It should be installed in a protected location away from direct rain, pooling water and exposed road spray. For caravans, canopies and vehicles, keep it in a sheltered area where the relay, connectors and cable ends stay dry.
Can I connect the relay backwards?
No.
The relay must be connected in the correct direction. The power source connects to INPUT, and the Starlink side connects to OUTPUT.
If the relay is reversed, it may not operate correctly and may damage your setup.
Can I use this in a caravan, canopy, 4WD or off-grid setup?
Yes, if the power system is suitable.
Make sure your setup uses compatible DC power, stays within the relay rating, and can maintain stable voltage while Starlink is running. If you are unsure about your vehicle wiring, battery system or DC setup, check with a qualified installer or auto electrician.
What should I check before contacting support?
Before contacting Spacetek support, please check:
- Your Starlink model
- Your power source
- Whether both remotes light up
- Whether the relay is connected in the correct direction
- Whether the relay is protected from water exposure
- Whether you have followed the quick start guide
- Whether your DC system is providing stable voltage under load
Photos of your setup can also help us understand the issue faster.
